ouch

This morning i had plans to be creative all day, make cute things, and go to the temple. And maybe do a few chores. instead i've been confined to my couch and a hot bath tub because of kidney stones. Not sure what i did to deserve kidney stones twice in a month and a half, but i'm going to figure it out and never do it again. I woke up with a pretty good back ache, and thought oh man, how am i going to stand and sew with this (i don't have a table to use my sewing machine, so i have to stand at my counter) It quickly turned worse and i figured out i must have stones....again. I called the Doc and they just wanted me to come in to make sure i wasn't going to have my baby...that'd be bad. And we did a little ultrasound to check everything out and caught the cutest pic of the little fart. He was yawning--sure, he can be content and comfortable while i'm wailing in pain. i'm not bitter. Just goes to show that good things can come from bad. Just had to post the picture, the little stinker is just too cute for me not to brag about :]i have to say that it was much cuter to see it in video form, but i'm glad that the nurse was kind enough to print this off for me.

Hands

Today in our sacrament meeting we got to hear from a member of the high council. For a moment he talked about our hands, and how our hands shape our lives into what we want them to be. He said "Look down at your hand for a moment, scientists say that the human hand is one of the most complex things on the human body. And we are the only organisms that have them in the complexity that we do. Our hands can create as no other organisms on earth." I thought this was super neat to think about. I started thinking of all the things you do with your hands on a daily basis, the basics like put on your clothes, style your hair, eat, clean, write, the list goes on and on, then i started thinking of all the things we could do with our hands that help someone else, your hand can give a friendly wave, shake another hand upon meeting, comfort the weary, pull weeds at and elderly widow neighbors home, in sign language your hand can say i love you, and worthy men's hands can use the power of the priesthood to offer a blessing to the ill. The Savior used his hands to heal, to comfort and to create. Interesting how ours can do the same. Our hands have the abilty to bear testimony of God without our words, if we are using them to serve others. I'm greatful that i was able to go to church today and to get this little bit of food for thought, to be reminded how blessed and loved i really am.

What's new?...

...PREGNANCY...
a beautiful-ish thing.

Thought it would be fun to post how pregnancy is so far...mostly just so i can laugh at myself later.

For most, none of this is news. But it's mostly just for my entertainment. :]
I got some cool ultrasound pics i just have been dying to post...i think he's handsome just like his daddy...

I am just two days from my 6 month mark - Making me 27 weeks and growing fast! It's a crazy thing, i am amazed everyday at all the changes that my body is going through, i think i have a new pregnancy symptom everyday- at least i use pregnancy as an excuse for how i feel.

this picture is horrid. (i think this was like the 4th one we took and i am NOT a good picture person) but just look at the baby bump and not my face

So my husband and anyone that has to spend anytime whatsoever around me can vouch that pregnancy turns me into a monster of sorts :

Sometimes, ok usually i cry during cheesy commercials

any time i watch a babystory on TLC i am crying within 30 seconds

Ok... crying over everything.

Jake HAS made late-night runs to the store for various cravings such as: ice cream, sno-cones, and if he could've found one, watermelon

UNSATISFIABLE HUNGER
breakfast, then second breakfast, lunch and second lunch, then dinner and dessert

And Most recently:

HEARTBURN

crazy dreams

AMONG MANY OTHER THINGS I'M SURE.

I KNOW I MAKE PREGNANCY SOUND MISERABLE (AND IT CAN BE) IT IS ALSO AN AMAZING BLESSING AND MIRACLE. I LOVE BEING PREGNANT. RIGHT DOWN TO THE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS I CAN'T WAIT TO BRING HOME OUR SWEET LITTLE BOY. I FEEL SO BLESSED TO BE A FUTURE MOMMY:]

It's been way too long since i've updated my blog, and it's quite embarrassing, it's like going back and reading your 6th grade diary, and realizing how lame you were. However, i'm feeling the bloggin' itch comming back, and i'm going to try to keep this baby updated!
This last week was a great week for me i got to go home to preston and spend some time with my family and help Ami with Jr. Miss. I'm always Amazed at her talent and love for life, and wish i had been more like that when i was her age. GO AMI! :] I love ya.
